Welcome!
We love frogs most of all but keeping various exotic life forms brings us great joy, especially when they reward us by breeding in captivity. This has always been our goal, from raising guppies as children to general herp breeding many years later. As more and more species disappear from the wild, it becomes vitally important to captive breed any life form. Commercial breeders and private enthusiasts do this without the use of public funding!
We believe the pet trade could have a beneficial effect on wildlife, even if animals are "harvested" from the wild. People have to make a living (feed their families), so managing or even restoring the habitat is necessary to sustain this resource. Captive breeding is our endeavor but sustainable harvesting of wild animals is also a goal worth supporting, after all, it is self-funded and beneficial to the local people. The outright banning of wild animal collecting is the right answer in many cases but sometimes multiple strategic approaches may be needed to save more of the native habitat. Whatever it may take to help keep a species from going extinct should be implemented or at least encouraged.
